Can A 30 Minute Facial Reverse Years Of Aging?

First Of All, Let’s Discuss - What Causes Wrinkles?

Wrinkles are a part of our natural aging process, but what are they and where do they come from?

Fine lines and wrinkles are caused by the repeated usage of facial muscles. The more we make a certain facial expression, the more likely we are to develop wrinkles in that area (think of how a piece of paper being folded in the same way over and over will create deeper creases…).

Alongside that, our collagen production decreases over time causing a loss of volume and plumpness to our skin. Wrinkles are also caused by environmental factors like pollution and UV rays from the sun (always wear your SPF!).

What is a Microcurrent Facial and How Does it Differ From a Regular Facial?

If you’re like me, you’ve probably never heard of a microcurrent facial before. Or maybe I’m on my own there, after all I was washing my face with only coconut oil well into my thirties…

But for those of us who’ve never heard of it - I’ll explain:

A microcurrent facial (also known as a Jade facial) is like a workout for your face and the closest you’ll get to a facelift without the scalpel. It uses two metal wands that glide across your face and transmit electrical impulses to massage a conductive gel packed with all sorts of goodies into the skin.

The use of microcurrent technology and acupressure helps sculpt and tighten the muscles of the face. This combo is used to treat the wrinkles at the source by targeting those underlying muscles - the skin follows where the muscle goes. By targeting and toning the facial muscles below the surface you can train them to relax and the skin will smoothen.

The conductive gel used during the facial is packed full of amazing ingredients like peptides that promote collagen production and help lift wrinkles out, Hyaluronic acid (the main ingredient in Restylane injections!), amino acids to repair sun damaged skin, and Elastropin to replace lost elastin.

This innovative treatment can reverse  “years of aging and train your face to relax for years to come''. Another reason that makes this an option that is safer and less invasive than Botox or any other injectable.

What Are The Benefits of a Microcurrent Facial?

So as if you weren’t already sold on why these facials are incredible let me list any other reasons I might’ve left out…

This facial is a preventative, all-natural way to tighten the skin, increase collagen production and keep wrinkles at bay.

Not only is the microcurrent device and acupressure resetting the underlying muscular structure - it's also assisting in lymphatic drainage which helps decrease puffiness and rid our body of toxins.

The micromassage also removes adhesions and calcium deposits that build up in our facial muscles which results in a much smoother and more toned appearance of the face.

We hold so much tension in our faces and the use of electro-micromassage helps soften those muscles and let that tension melt away.

Results After Just One Treatment

When I tell you this facial works fast - I mean, fast. I mean one cheekbone more chiseled than the other mid-treatment kind of fast.

As mentioned before, it's like a workout for your face. And just like with any exercise regime, a few treatments are recommended to get max results. They recommend starting with 5 treatments, maxing out benefits at around 12 visits, with a monthly maintenance schedule to keep optimum results. The glowy definition from the first treatment lasts about 48-72 hours, which is a typical result. But just like going to the gym, the more you train those muscles, the longer the results last.

Also worth noting - just like any preventative measure, the sooner you start the better shot you have at keeping your youthful healthy skin.

As far as all natural preventative skincare options go, this is top tier. It has a slew of benefits without the “beauty is pain” aspect injectables can have.

Extra bonus - you can also pair this treatment with other add-ons offered at The Hidden Jewel.

My only regret?  Not taking a before and after photo.
