  • I’d been having issues with TMJ over the last few months and was just told to just massage my jaw at home from my doctor. When I saw they offered a specialized treatment at Hidden Jewel I booked immediately and I’m so glad I did! It’s a little awkward to have someone’s hands in your mouth but Shannon gave me the option to opt in or out of that part. I really wanted relief so she put some gloves on and got to work- let me tell you- it was 10x better after that. We did two treatments about a week a part and I got so much relief, it hasn’t bothered me much since! Highly recommended this treatment if you are suffering from TMJ

How we can help you with your TMJ Disorder:

Jaw tension rarely exists in isolation. Clenching, grinding, stress, posture, repetitive habits, and tension through the face, scalp, neck and shoulders can all influence how your jaw feels.

Our TMJ/TMD-focused sessions take a whole-body approach to muscular tension surrounding the jaw. Your first visit begins with a detailed consultation and postural assessment so we can understand where you’re experiencing discomfort, when it occurs, what may be contributing to it, and what you’ve already tried.

Hands-on treatment is then customized to you and may include therapeutic work to the jaw, face, scalp, neck and shoulders, facial gua sha, and optional intraoral and buccal techniques.

Our goal is to help reduce muscular tension, encourage relaxation, improve comfort and give you practical tools you can use between visits. We can also work as part of your larger care team alongside your dentist, orthodontist, physical therapist, chiropractor or other healthcare provider when appropriate.

Every session is adapted to your comfort level—you are always in control of the treatment.
